When I worked as a public relations consultant for Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge, I wrote this news feature for them to distribute to local news outlets and gain awareness of RTBR's efforts. RTBR partnered with The Home Builders Association to maximize rebuilding efforts for a family that lost their home in a fire.
The Home Builders Association provided free resources and labor to help RTBR stay true to its mission of rebuilding homes for free, and we wanted to relay this message to local media.

The press conference run-of-show document is a template provided to RTBR to adapt to future opportunities.
The document aims to target potential volunteers, partners and donors by including talking points that emphasize the importance of the organization and its work.


Radio Spot
I created a 15, 30 and 60-second radio spot for RTBR during the pandemic.
The message centered on recruiting volunteers to help RTBR in its rebuilding endeavors. This message was also intended to become a template for the organization to use in the future.
The document was accompanied by a media contact to send the document to in an attempt to gain time on the radio.
Fact Sheet
One of the first things I created for Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge is create a fact sheet for them.
I dug through the statistics I could find online (secondary research) and then consulted with my point of contact to conduct primary research.
The fact sheet was made with the intention of placing it on the RTBR website for viewers to learn about RTBR quickly.
